There are structural similarities between bacterial luciferase and nonfluorescent flavoproteins (LuxF, FP390), alkanesulphonate monooxygenase (SsuD), and coenzyme F420-dependent terahydromethanopterin reductase, which make up clearly related families with somewhat different folds [, , ].
