Type: | Family | Name: | Lipid phosphate phosphatase, plant |
Description: | Several lipid phosphate phosphatases have been identified in Arabidodpsis: AtLPP1 (At2g01180), AtLPP2 (At1g15080) and AtLPP3 (At3g02600) []. AtLPP1 and AtLPP2 have been characterised. Both exhibit diacylglycerol pyrophosphate (DGPP) phosphatase and phosphatidate (PA) phosphatase activities, though AtLPP1 has substrate preference for diacylglycerol pyrophosphate. AtLPP1 plays a general role in cellular responses to stress, may be by attenuating the signal produced by phospholipases []. AtLPP2 is part of the ABA-signalling network regulating some aspects of leaf physiology []. | Short Name: | LPP_plant |
